Applying The Amplify Framework
The Amplify Framework isn’t something you use once. It’s a way of approaching what’s in front of you—whether it’s a small task or something more involved.
Take something simple. A task that needs to get done.
Most people move straight to action. They try to start, push through, and get it off their list. But that approach assumes the difficulty is in the task itself.
Often, it isn’t.
A task can be clear and still feel harder to start than it should. Not because it’s complicated, but because of what’s surrounding it.
Take something that seems simple.
Deciding you no longer want to cook dinner every night.
On the surface, it’s straightforward. You could change the plan, share the responsibility, or bring in help.
But often, that’s not what happens.
Because it’s not just about dinner.
It’s about the role you’ve been holding, what you’ve taken responsibility for, and what feels expected of you.
It’s about identity—who you’ve been in your family, what it means to step back from that, and what still feels like yours to carry.
So something that looks like a simple change becomes harder to move. Not because you don’t know what to do, but because of everything attached to it.
The expectations you’re holding. The standards you’ve internalized. What feels like “enough.” What feels like it should be easy.
That’s where the Framework shifts the approach.
Instead of moving directly into action, you step back and clarify what you’re actually trying to accomplish. You look at what’s supporting it—not just people, but the tools, setup, environment, and small details that make something easier to carry. Then you adjust what isn’t working, bring in what’s missing, and move forward from there.
The task gets done. But more importantly, it’s supported differently.
That’s what changes the experience of it.
The same process applies more broadly. But it doesn’t stay at the level of the task.
What’s in front of you may look straightforward, but it’s rarely just that. It’s shaped by how you’re carrying it—what you expect of yourself, what feels required, what you assume you should be able to manage.
When that becomes visible, the work shifts.
You’re no longer just trying to complete something. You’re working with what’s underneath it.
And that’s what allows things to move forward with less strain.
